[Connectivity] Major problems with my connection

Wanted to write in and let you guys know about a problem that I think has been going on for quite some time and have been having a really hard time getting it resolved. A few months ago I started noticing that my connection speed would suffer during peak hours (6:00 - 11:00 PM). I used to be able ti hit my cap no matter what time of day, but not anymore. I called in and Comcast sent a service tech. Tech said everything was fine.

Fast forward to last Friday, when at about 7:30pm, my speed started getting even slower than normal. Things kept getting slower as time went by, and by 9:30pm it would take a few minutes for www.google.com to come up. Connection was working but EXTREMELY slow. A few ping test showed a lot of packet loss. Called Comcast and they sent a tech out the next day. Of course everything was working great and speed tests were showing +20Mbps. Tech checked everything including the drop at the pedestal. Replaced a splitter but said he didn't really find anything wrong.

Saturday night my speeds get extremely slow again. Seemed to be having the packet loss issues again. Checked OnDemand, it was pausing out every 2 seconds. Called Comcast again, and they said a maintenance guy would come out Sunday and check beyond my pedestal. Sunday I find out that my connection is now extremely slow all day not just a night anymore. Called again Sunday night to ask about status of repairs and I was told no maintenance was ever scheduled. they scheduled for another service tech to come to my house on Monday. Service tech shows up on Monday, but both myself and my wife are at work. The tech called again after I got home, and I explained my issues with him. He told me he knew the problem was the fiber lines and that he would put in a request for a line tech to check it out. Tuesday comes and now my internet is completely down. Only got 3 lights on my modem and OnDemand does not work at all. this is all day. Called Comcast again and was told that there was NEVER any request for any service in my area at all. Was told that a tech was in the area and that he would stop by and check out what was going on. I'm not sure if the tech actually did anything because I was told he was going to be checking the lines and not actually coming to my house. Well.... Wednesday morning and my connection is still down.

Sorry for the book, but I'm really frustrated and I have no idea what is going on with my connection. I also am surprised that it is taking this long to resolve since I am pretty sure I'm not the only one in my area experiencing this problem. It seems like a major service interruption to me and comcast doesn't seem to really care about getting it fixed.
