| Xbox mod chip question I checked around for rules and stuff for this forum to see if such question either A) has been answered or B) is illegal on this forum... couldnt find much either way. So... hopefully this can be posted.
Anyways, I recently aqcuired an Xbox that id like to have some fun with. I play mainly PC games but there were a few that came to Xbox but never the PC. I do not plan to use Xbox Live (who pays for multiplayer service anyways?) so I am not worried about getting banned (even though Ive heard of work arounds).
Id like to put a mod chip in the box to load EvolutionX dashboard and then have fun afterwards. Which mod chip would you recommend? Most stuff i find is pretty old and it seems that most chips have been out for a while. I dont care solder or solderless either way, it doesnt have to be the best of the best just as long as it does the basic things.
Any input I would appreciate. Thanks!

| well, turns out I had everything to do a softmod right here so I tried it and it worked... sort of. I couldnt get EvolutionX to properly work but i at least got the exploit working which is + 1.

Once you load Evox from the exploit, make a backup and ftp that to your pc. All you need to do now is install Evox to the hard drive from the Evox menu options. Have fun... | |

| may sound odd but does the Firmware control which region an Xbox360 is? ie if you had a japanese 360 and loaded a US 360's firmware could you play US region locked games. though ive never seen MS release the firmware.

clubs: | Acutally I went from Softmod 3.1 to Softmod 2.0 and everything worked... Thanks for actually the advice about hte soft mod. Google really is my friend after all.
