Rogue or Warrior

just wondering what would be preferred for someone who does not group a lot warrior or rouge seems that the warrior works better all around although the rougue is a little higher damage dealer? any input would be appreciated

I would say rogue all the way.
I have both and rogue was much easier to level solo than my warrior, and was a lot of fun too.
If you plan to PvP Rogue is also the WTG.

as far as a rogue goes, you can sneak around the mobs you don't want to encounter. as a warrior, you will have to fight them all.
and as a warrior, prepare for all the whispers of, 'MT for us?'

Also something to consider when you become 60.
This game is full of rogues and it will be hard to find a spot for high end instances, way too many rogues in the game.
As a warrior you may get invited to tank, although I find that there are more and more warriors now so more competition.

Anyway you will find easier some high end raid spots with a warrior than a rogue.

I still favor my rogue but I use my rogue msotly for PvP and .... hmmm ganking poor hordes.

Warrior is way too gear dependent.

If you get into a little end game you have your resist sets, normal sets, dps armor, dps weapons, tank weapons....

it adds up to 0 bag space.

It's rOGUe, not rouge! Pls, pls, pls learn it. It just makes me laugh when they go in the LFG channel - LF1M - rouge then g2g. Man, if I was one, i'd spit in their face.

OK to ignore, just a personal pet peeve of mine.

rogues are also very gear dependent.

yea, but consider that there are a lot of already established guilds that rather have a new dpser than a new tank.

Not anywhere near as much as a warrior.

Ive never played a rogue past level 19 so I cant really comment but I recently switched to a warrior main and I love it.

I dont PvP much anymore (got WSG Exalted while leveling) but I am one of the 3 main tanks for my new guild. I really enjoy main tanking and don't think I'll be switching to anything else. Ive played both a a healer (shaman for 1.5years) and DPS (hunter alt which Ive raided with on a number of occasions), neither can hold a torch to my warrior in my raid fun factor.

As far as PvP goes, warriors are pretty gimped against a lot of the caster/kitting classes but VERY fun if you have a heal bot following you around, specially a shaman.

To be honest I'll lay it out there:

It really does not matter, most of these opinions are based on pre BC. In two months this will all be obsolete. In BC it is going to be very easy for you to obtain quality gear at least in the beginning and with arenas/pvp never be far behind the raiders.

So play whatever you think will be the most fun, depending on the situation and gear a fury/arms warrior can out dps rogues.

Both are fun classes and besides having melee as a main attack are very different play styles.
