It is unlikely you will get anyone on Insight's end to push out a firmware update. There are methods for you to do this yourself. But these are frowned upon by most ISP. Personally I think modem firmware updating should be as easy as it is with a router. Others won't agree for various reasons.

You could send an support email to your local office from the Insight website. Or you could try making a call to the local office and making contact with someone on the technical end of things. Again they most likely won't push out an update unless they see your having a problem. And they feel the update will help resolve or lessen the issue.
