Well, when you are out there shooting wildlife, with a camera of course, don't always assume that that deer with antlers is a buck, because you might just have assumed wrong no matter how large the rack is!

Sarcoxie deer hunter Howard Becker is getting some odd looks when he tells people about his latest kill: a 28-point doe.
I had never actually heard of a Doe with antlers, with buttons or small little spike points yes, but never a full rack. I would have misidentified this deer myself had I taken a picture of it!

I have heard of this happening. While not common, it does happen.
Hunting regulations say nothing about deer gender during bucks only season, it states that antlers have to be a certain length. At least in this state. |

Correct, the required length is 3" minimum in this state, my god if I saw one with 28 points I'd have to say I'd do the same thing the hunter did if I was hunting, bag it and THEN check the sex. lol
