NextAlarm Raises price for voip users!

Seems that Nextalarm is raising their monthly price on voip alarm monitoring to around ~$15/month + $99 charge for the adapter.

What happened to the $8.95 / month deal?

I dunno, but it looks as if they've got a "Free" version now...

Was $8.95 a regular rate?

Note that this announced price increase by NextAlarm is not just for VOIP users, but also for traditional POTS users. You can "lock in" current rates for up to 3 years by paying in advance before Friday, December 1st.

Their free offering looks interesting, but it's not for those of us wanting and needing a full service monitoring service. I also doubt that it would comply with the requirements of insurance companies for discounts for a monitored security system.
