| Re: Good Price NPR had a short segment on how a university professor lobbied the Library of Congress for an exemption to cut content from a DVD and master it into his own for educational purposes. What was laughable was how the industry representative said a still from the movie is just as good and there was no need to use video aka moving pictures!!

You are allowed to make a backup copy at least, who says the backup copy can't be on your iPod or other portable media device? I do get what you are saying though, neither Apple nor Wal-mart can support this officially since it just opens them up to more lawsuits thanks to the DMCA. It's a shame really, everyone will do it anyway on the black market so to speak which everyone could be cashing in on if they were smart. | |
