| reply to Rooster_Dude said by Rooster_Dude :Wait a minute. Why do I get 9.68mbps down with Insight's test but at other speed test websites I'm still under 1mbps? Maybe because it is directly to it, and not routed through other servers. I even tried to use the -n and -h switches in the command line in the ping and tracert tests respectively. The tracert only did 6 hops.

| Here are my results from that server. I am unsure whether the "Average round trip time" is good or not.
Your Download Speed = 9.82Mbps or 1.22MBytes/sec Your Upload Speed = 961.84Kbps or 120.23KBytes/sec Average round trip time = 188.43ms |

| reply to acrowl I just tried to use the test via my work connection (QWest T1), but I get this message:
Access Not Allowed!
Sorry, but access to Insight Broadband's speed test servers are restricted to our customers only! If you wish to test your speeds, you can try out one of these other speed test sites:
* Broadband Reports * Bandwidth Place * Toast.net * Google entries for "Speed Test"
I wonder if it's a bandwidth issue that don't don't allow external speed testing? -- ℜ λ η κ ε ℵ ∃ |
