The inability to get to CERTAIN sites is not normally associated to a node problem.
DNS or routing maybe.

That McLean, VA Node/Router is a major backbone router on Comcast's network. It's right outside of Wash. D.C. and handles a tremendous amount of data for Comcast. There's no telling what sites are affected. It could be that another company like AT&T, Level3, Quest, Sprint, etc's Interface to this node/router is down, i.e.(cable/fiber cut). |

But almost all Routers are connected to a Node to establish a link to another Router. |
