Should I run RC5 on my laptop?

Should I run RC5 on my laptop, considering that it's not just any laptop but a Macbook Pro that I absolutely love, and would perform Macinlingus© on if I sensed it needing it. I want as much life out of it as possible. Knowing these things, would it be wise to run RC5 on it?
