There is a big difference in the size of the dishes used by the cable companies and by home users to capture signals. Premium join:2002-06-03 Louisiana	There's nothing stopping you from using a 10 footer for DishNet or DirecTV, but the huge difference is C Band is around the 3.7ghz-4.2ghz band and the main band DishNet and Direct use is 12.2ghz-12.7ghz.
