Just be mindful of environmental concerns. Garages are notoriously bad environments for sensitive (running) equipment. The Actiontec literature that comes in the box states: 32 - 104 deg F operating range and no more than 95% non-condensing humidity range. Not saying that the router will not work outside of these parameters, but service life will be effected.
