Nope. I gave my mom a call cuz she lives out in the middle of nowhere and is tearing her hair out with dialup and getting connected at the lightning speed of 26kbps.
She's gettin Wildblue as soon as she can, assuming she can actually get the service before April...

A lot do, you're lucky to have oodles of broadband in the big city, many are not so lucky. I have Adelphia (to become Comcast next month) HSI, but most areas in this very rural and rugged county are relegated to dial-up, and maybe wireless if they're lucky (a lot of mountains and trees here), there is a wireless outfit that provides service in some area. |

I'm in a similar situation. I moved 15 minutes out of Pittsburgh and now I can't get anything but 19kbps dial up.
While the increased capacity is nice, I feel dirty at the thought of paying $50 a month for 512 kbps down from WildBlue after I was paying $29 a month for 6 mbps sown from Comcast... |
