DLink VTA-VR firmware replacement

With firmware changes that you meantioned to run the linksys firmware, would the default vonage settings be gone for good? Would the vta become an unlocked device?

I kinda need to do things in baby steps but I am interested in how you put the new firmware on the vta box as I have 6 of them and they are now starting to collect a layer of dust. Sacraficing one or two of them wouldn't be a problem.

Any help would be great
