jumbo frames and cisco gearGuys we will be installing iscsi gear soon at work. Of course for iscsi you need a gigabit link the concern is not gigabit but the jumbo frames. Our network is made up of the catalyst 6509 and 2 4506's My question is what is the best way to introduce this into your enviroment. I've been reading that one should have the jumbo frame gear on its on vlan and all should be fine. So guys let me know what you think |

The Cisco documentation for your gear and the specific line cards should tell you whether they support jumbo frames and how/if they need to be enabled. |

just a heads up, make sure every device on the VLAN with jumbo frames has the same MTU setting ... If you don't you will have problems. |
