Loral Skynet has global VSAT experience with service upto 45Mbps full-duplex. They also have excellent ISP and enterprise service.
Telesat Canada launched Anik A1 in 1968 to enable Canada-wide telephone network and has been an innovator since then. Their Anik F2 (2005) introduced multiple high power 28Ghz spot beams for Wildblue service in USA and Xplorenet in Canada. Their focus has been direct-to-home and small business.
The merged company, still called Telesat, should be very good for WISPs - big and small - in remote communities and also many countries still without fiber link to the world. |
