[Serious] R.I.P. Richk_1957

I found out this morning that our Rich died the morning of December 4th, about an hour after his last post. He had an epileptic seizure and heart attack in the subway on his way to work that morning. The funeral has already taken place.

I spoke with his sister and she's having trouble finding his friends to notify them. Mainly she can't get into his email accounts, even with his own computer. I know about his ix.netcom.com account but don't know how to reach them to get her a phone number to call or what she'll need to have the information released to her.

If anyone who was at the Meet and Greet this year took pictures with Rich in them, please post them. I'm going to link his sister to this thread and I'm sure she'd love to see them.

I couldnt find any pictures of Rich, as he was usually behind the camera, but I guess this is the next best thing.

Rest in peace, my Pickle Providing Friend.

I am so shocked and sad this morning to hear of this. Now I feel even more terrible about not being able to attend the Dec 2 M&G. I enjoyed meeting Rich in the past and will remember him as a real gentleman. Once again, we are reminded how fragile and brief our time is in this life...

wow, I'm so sorry to hear that. I only met him for the first time at that M&G, but its hard to believe he won't be with us anymore. At least he'll be here in spirit.

Rest in peace Rich.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Rich, Gracie did and spoke of him warmly: "My heart goes out to Rich's family---his sense of fun warmed the meet and greets in a special way, and he was a valued unique member of the community, which is dimmer for losing him. Peace and pickles, Rich, with love."

I don't even know what to say. I am so sad to hear this news.

People think you don't really have "friends" on the internet....I say that is wrong.

Rest in peace Rich, your friends will miss you.

I just got off the phone with his sister and she's really needing some happy stories about him right now, especially from the meet and greet as it was two days before.

If you'd like to tell her stories, either IM them to me and I'll send them along or IM me for her email address.

I came home from a delightful morning only to hear this terrible news.
Rich was a very warm and caring man. At each of the meetings, I made it a point to share some time with him. He had a firm handshake, an even firmer hug, looked you right in the eye when you spoke to him, and never had anything unkind to say about anyone.

I am going to miss this man very much.

My sincere condolences to his family. I am certain I have more pictures of him. I will search the old notebook and desktops.
