Isn't there one place where people can do without the Internet???

Depends... If you are like yourself, an average Joe, you probably can do without the internet on your four hour flight... If you are a systems or network administrator, who has hundreds of systems under his or her watchful eye, you bet you need something like this on your flights if there is no one else monitoring your systems.

Actually, those really are the only people I can think of that need something like this... People whose jobs demand connectivity to the network because its their job.

Mabye the Network geek should hire another geek. I like the fact my flights are "Net" free. Peace and quiet not having some pervs getting their rocks off watching porn on the flight.

Some companies don't have the resources... Hiring isn't always done at the department level because there isn't a department or its not big enough. Or there are security reasons...

Ahh, yes, using hyperbole... Using the most extreme possible case in an effort to negate the myriad of other reasons why it might be beneficial to have net access on a flight. Try again.
