Help with DSL rates

I just bought a condo in S. Austin as my vacation home. I probably will only be there about 5 days every other month for the first year or two and am looking for the cheapest broadband I can find. I don't really need a phone but would get one w/local service if the price for DSL wasn't too high. The problem is that I can't get availability and price info without plugging in a phone number. Does anyone have local service + DSL? Can you give me an idea of what you're paying?

Re: Help with DSL rates

You may want to also cross-post this one in the AT&T Southwest forum: »AT&T Southwest as that may get you some more info. Rather than move this one, I'll leave it here with that recommendation, so you may get some answers in both.

I live in N. Austin and I have Basic phone service with the 1.5mb plan and my total bill after taxes etc is about $45.

Phone $28.55
- Basic local $12
- Non published listing $5.50 - what a crock
- touch tone .18
- Surcharges & tax $10.87
Internet $14.99 - Express - no tax

LD $2.33

I think this is cheapest, drop the non listing and long distance and save another $7.50
Hope this helps
