Did you speak with the crew? Most likely Fibertech was stringing fiber for a customer of their own and not AT&T. I know the town / BOE in Shelton used Fibertech for their WAN. Probably not UVerse related.

| Yeah, that whole thing needs to go in your front yard!  Around here a bunch (VRADs) are pole mounted. Some RTs have been expanded with VRAD cabinets next to them.

U-Verse Installation failure and delay!

6:30 minutes (*edit>) later and its not working 
apparently there is an outage in ct and adding customers to the service is not happening today
tech arrived at 12:00 on the dot - window was 12-2
tried to "register" the new service and problem migrating my accounts - current @snet.net account since the original dsl service was hooked up and the yahoo.com (which is now snet.net) also that i just found out is not actually a yahoo.com domain anymore... hummm
couldnt register the account after talking with "abdul" had no info on my old password - even though they should be the same!
tech had to run new wires and almost had everything up - apparenty it couldnt sync to the new network, the techs super was here for about 4 hours and was on the phone with texas, help desk and everyone else
so...... my saturday is dead - the tech is coming back at 10am tomorrow to try and finish - hoping that they resolve the outage problem by them
right now. i agreed to have 1 tv back on the dish and 1 tv disconnected - have equipment waiting for him to come back so rather that him being here another 6 hours reconnecting everything, hopefully this will cut down on some of the time.
the dsl is back up (thankfully) on the new modem/wifi router combo - this thing is f'n huge! 2wire model
im not entireley pissed - i know how technology can funk up, would have been nice for the at&t to tell the techs or field supers that there is an outage so they know beforehand than trying to sync the tv 7 times.
so i wait until tomorrow, hopefully i will have part of the day to enjoy.

well he says that after 19 yrs of doing this there hasnt been an issue with a box being left open overnight
lets hope not

the main office in texas said there was a problem adding new service to the existing network, so hopefully that will be fixed by 10 tomorrow -or it will be another week with the dish-o |

keep us posted.. someone from SBC (was wearing those SBC shirts) that i bumped into at a coffee shop told me Uverse may only be available after spring.
All the best to that install.. can;t wait to see the end result.
And yeah.. how much is that setup going to cost you?
