The ATT/IPTV is an extremely complex and entirely different set of equipment and servers, and is totally separate from the "simple' delivery of DSL. Yes ATT has plant ready in 11 cities, but the only actual customers are in a controlled environment in San Antonio where the Chief Engineers tinker with it on a daily basis to keep it working.
It's definitely not ready for PRIME TIME. Verizon and Cable Co's have the upper hand on ATT's sophisticated mouse trap called IPTV.

| Honestly, for some of us in att land.. what is there to get excited about? Only differences for me is how I would receive my TV.
I already have yahoo dsl, and att basic landline phone (just for emergencies). I have Directv for my viewing pleasures. All told right now they run about $100 together.
Now looking to see if it is available at my address and how much it would cost. |
