| Actually, I'd say the number is 12
markets and not 11.
Yesterdays press release re: the Ct. Rollout cited the Danbury market as being in with the Stamford one.
That isn't correct. Danbury is in Western Ct. while Stamford is in the South Eastern part of the state.
Given that, I'd say that the number is 12 and not 11.
I've also verified a couple addresses in Danbury as being Uverse ready.
Things could be looking up and getting interesting here in Ct. and at the very least, be putting some heat on Comcast. |

| reply to Rick Instead of applauding AT&T for exceding the lowerd target of 11, and looking like they may hit 15 markets by Dec 31,2006. you have to be mister negative "well Danbury is in West CT, while Stamford is in SE CT" SO WHAT! at least they have it up and going in your state. |

Better get those prescription glasses refilled.
And you living in Danbury should CERTAINLY know that Danbury and Stamford are two totally different markets.

I wasn't being negative about it. Actually, I posted it as a positive, stating that in my view, they had hit the TWELVE market mark, instead of 11.
Good lord, you're so proned to negative uverse comments coming from me that when I post a positive one, you don't even recognize it!

| reply to Rick Last time I checked West was left when reading a map and East was right. Both are in Fairfield county.
So where would you say New London is? Northwest?
Better check your facts: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stamford_%28CT%29 (look at the right side of the page)
Maybe it is you that should not be mixing their prescription meds. |

| And, last I checked stamford was certainly much more along the South Eastern coast of Ct. versus anything western.
Good God..get a life man. I can guarantee you that arguing this point with me..an 11th generation Ct. resident, direct decendant of the founders of Hartford, Farmington, New Britain, Southington, (and most surrounding towns), Waterbury, Naugatuck, Kent, Bethel, and your own city..Danbury...(founded by my Gx7 Grand parents)..
is more than a losing battle for you.
And, if you still continue to think you'll win it, please visit the Congregational church at the corner of Deer Hill and West street/Danbury..founded by my Gx7 Grand Father in the late 1600's for some divine intervention because you will surely need it doing battle with me on this front.
And, if that ones too full for you, visit the church my Gx5 GF founded in Bethel in 1759, on main street. You'll get an equal amount of divine intervention there I'm sure.
And, if none of that works for you..please visit the hartford founders monument and perhaps my Gx8 GF's name will shine down upon you, helping to enlighten you on the subject of Ct..and her geography.
If that Still doesn't work, please feel free to visit the lot the Charter Oak stood on in Hartford. After all, it was his land originally in 1636, where his modest home once stood after he moved there from Cambridge Mass after having founded that area as well.. and word even has it that he probably planted the charter Oak, based on it's estimated age.
As for your last ill fated question, New LONDON..is in EASTERN Ct.
Any other Ct. history or geography questions..please feel free to PM me and I'll be more than glad to assist you.

| lol..really...you don't want to get into motto's. Or i'll have to throw the one written for my Gx8 Grand Father at you and take you out of the ring completely.

For a close up view of it, be sure to visit any state flag flying in the state.
And, you continue to be wrong.
Stamford is CERTAINLY..southern..and CERTAINLY covers the EASTERN portion of the state in the area it occupies.
And, your comparison of Danbury to Stamford simply because they're both in fairfield cty. is laughable at best.
What will you be claiming next, that Donald Trump's home in greenwich is next door to your and your illegal immigrant neighbors? |

| It's on the South side of the state along the right hand (eastern coast line) side.
MeskinCt. is confused.
To further help him..just above stamford is Westport..where there is SHERWOOD Island State Park..ie: a beach on Long Island Sound. And, unless he thinks that Long Island sound is on the WESTERN side of Ct..I'd say he just has his facts all wrong. |

| Ok, let me simplify the question. You have a map of CT on your desk. Your LEFT hand is touching the WESTERNMOST border of the map, while your RIGHT hand is touching the EASTERNMOST border of the map. The map is oriented as close to North/South as possible. Your hands are oriented along an imaginary latitude line in the center of the state. Which hand is STAMFORD closest to? |

| reply to Mr Dip CLEARLY, it's eastern.
The main direction is South, hence my SOUTH Eastern comment initially..but plug into yahoo maps stamford, Ct and you'll clearly see it sits along the eastern edge of the southern portion of the state.
»maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTExNmI···66&mag=8
Meskinct's comment would ONLY be applicable if the state were square and extended down into long island sound.
The state has a very irregular border..going west to east up the coastline.
That's why stamford is accurately described as being in the South EASTERN portion of the state for the part of the state it is in. -- The Coyote captured the RR! Roadrunner Rick is now Comcastic! |
