Re: Earthquake related comment spam reduction? Yes i have noticed less spam, I thought it was because un-patched and secured PC's were replaced by new Christmas present PC's. Most of the spam we get is relayed from zombie PC's.Also many businesses were closed for the long weekend. Our email servers block IP address ranges from Asia and other well known spam generators. -- Direcway Rate Code 512k 4/5 (TC) IA8 89W Freq 1410 .98 dish 2 watt 7700 WINXP-Pro, LAN Firefox Thunderbird |

If there is a reduction then it is either the telecommunications hassles in the far east or just spammers _and their customers_ (US based, of course) have days off to hang with family, like everyone else, and while they are away their botnets go idle or they don't setup new campaign buys. |
