| Blackberry 7290 or 7105t?
I am going to be getting a cell phone very soon, and the plan I am choosing comes with either a blackberry 7290 (big original size full qwerty) or a blackberry 7105t (small, normal cell phone size, split keyboard) as well as a free Bluetooth headset.
Which should I go for? Would more be supported on the full-size blackberry or would I just be able to type faster? I found one forum thread on a different site but it didn't offer much advice (»cellphoneforums.net/rim-blackber···05t.html) -- for all your Linux questions |

| I've had a company provided 7290 for a couple of years.
Pluses:
Handset is indestructible Keyboard pretty usable RIM push email great Battery life pretty good RF seems to be as good as most phones As a phone...eh...good enough. Earpiece volume could be better.
Minuses GPRS data way too slow LCD screen not up to current standards. Viewing any kind of graphic is poor
For whatever it's worth |

| reply to nklb Bah, and of course right after I place the order I find a better deal through a different company; Amazon has a couple of AMAZING new models for free after rebate with new service :-(
I guess I am stuck with this though now :-( -- for all your Linux questions |

1 edit | reply to nklb Damn, shoulda visited bbr yesterday! Man you got ripped. You can get a blackberry 8700, or a blackberry pearl (8100) (which is the newest) for free with a new contract. I think you should cancel it, send it back, and get one of the better ones with a different dealer. -- cs.outkastcs.com:27015 - OutKast Clan CS Source »cstrike-planet.com »clanstate.com |

| reply to nklb Actually it looks like it's not such a bad deal. I inspected the offers with the 8700 blackberry a bit closer, and it looks like the $30/month plan isn't an option if I got that phone for free, it would be a minimum of $40/month. So I think I am just fine with what I got -- for all your Linux questions |
