Converted 2 as per your specs, thanks.
Still can't figure out how to get them seen on his ipod.
When I plug IPod into my system via USB, I get the message "do not disconnect" with a red circle/slash I can get to the Ipod from my system, but the Ipod menu itself if non-active.
Tried yam-win on his Ipod and says device is not connected, tried yam-win from my system, also tells me device not connected.
If I remove device from my system, IPod menu appears. Aauughhh! got to be something I'm missing somewhere.
Read I need Itunes (do i?) if so how do I get his system to the internet to get it? TIA -- To be on a pedestal is to be in a corner |

1 edit | said by Rxdoxx :I need Itunes (do i?) if so how do I get his system to the internet to get it? TIA I've transferred countless videos, pictures and songs to and from my ipod, have always used iTunes to do it. The iPod should have come with a cd containing the software.
Edit: I've been told that they don't ship the CD with the product anymore. However, the iPod is basically a removable hard-disk, you could download iTunes on your machine, copy it to the iPod (shows as a disk drive) and then connect it to the other machine and install from there. |

| Update, can't get IPod server (ITunes component)to initialize while installing it in a sandbox. I guess g-kid is out of luck, since I have no desire to try to delete/kill quicktime other stuff. If he is very persuasive, I may use an uninstaller to monitor the install from the start so I can document and un-do all the changes, but looks like I'll just convert things to MP4 and store them on his drive until he flies back home and can have friends (who have them) get him up and running. Knowing what I know now, I would have tried to talk him into another brand of system, but that is a moot point now. -- To be on a pedestal is to be in a corner |
