The Linksys BEFCMU10v4 IMO is the best.
It handles noise much better than any of the Motorola modems and has a better diagnostic page.

A Moto SB5100 will have you rocking in the new year!
I wish you could find the SB5100 with retailers. Even Newegg discontinued them. They sell the SB5101. Looks like only auction sites are the last place to find them.

i have the Motorola 5100 series. it might be the 5200. i would have to go look. i know i have had both versions of the modem and they work really well. im thinking i have the older one now.

i will get a linksys so i can drop the 5 bucks a month rent fee from Comcast next time i see the free with activation deal they (Linksys) runs from time to time.

»New SB5102

So far:
No USB capability
No standby switch
Different firmware than the 5100, 5101 & 5120
Same specs though

I wish the Linksys modems had the ability to reboot the modem via the information screen like the motorolas.

Never gave that feature much thought. When I had my 5101, I never used it.

I can't see any specs for a standby or see one in any of the pics.

Also, it has a 110VAC input with an internal DC supply instead of an external 12VDC power supply.

I wonder how it handles heat with an internal.
