Same storm I'm in FWIW...I lost sync when I had to unplug the modem to paint the wall.
Might have a marginal fault on the phone line. Wet splice causes grounds, shorts, and imbalances which hurt DSL service. Gotta go through the basic troubleshooting first to figure out what we have wrong. |

Lord knows it wreaks havoc on my DSL connection, unless I'm using my 2 Wire; instead of disconnects, I get lag, but I'm not complaining...much.. |

| reply to Pashune I was having the same problems with my DSL 3.0 drooping out doing thunderstorms. I had a tech to come out and he said that I needed to drop back down to 1.5. The tech said something about being to far out from the CO, and something about my DSL bottlenecking, etc. I did not understand allot he had to say. So I drooped my DSL back down to 1.5 and I have not had anymore problems with my DSL drooping out. -- "If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards."Paul "Bear" Bryant |
