lightning can wreck havoc on dsl especially with it being a marginal connection. EMP, i think that's what it's called.

:) I think it's called EMI, Electromagnetic Interference. Lord knows it wreaks havoc on my DSL connection, unless I'm using my 2 Wire; instead of disconnects, I get lag, but I'm not complaining...much..

I was having the same problems with my DSL 3.0 drooping out doing thunderstorms. I had a tech to come out and he said that I needed to drop back down to 1.5. The tech said something about being to far out from the CO, and something about my DSL bottlenecking, etc. I did not understand allot he had to say. So I drooped my DSL back down to 1.5 and I have not had anymore problems with my DSL drooping out.
