|  [modem/router] Using the Actiontec GT704WG as a transparent brid
I am trying to setup this modem/router as a transparent bridge, i.e. where it does not get a wan ip address but instead leaves dhcp to my computer.
The ROM on this product is customized by verizon and on the setup page for the modem it lists nothing about a transparent bridge mode. Only dhcp/pppoe and static/dynamic ip's.
I was thinking about flashing the rom with the manufacturers firmware but I think others have had trouble with that.
Can anyone confirm that the Actiontec modem verizon supplies can't be used as a transparent bridge? |
