What do you call a female lobster? .......A hen.
When is a lobster a chicken? .....When it weighs about one pound.
When is a lobster a pistol? .......When it has no claws.
Why wouldn't a lobsterman with shorts on want to meet a marine patrol officer? .......He has lobsters that don't meet the the legal size.
Why shouldn't a lobster walk into the kitchen? ......It's the first chamber of a lobster trap. (The inner chamber is called the bedroom or parlor.)

Actually, the real reason is this-
A genetic defect causes a blue lobster to produce an excessive amount of protein. The protein wraps around a small, red carotenoid molecule known as as astaxanthin. The two push together, forming a blue complex known as crustacyanin which gives the lobster shell a blue color.

I used to work on lobster boats out of Point Judith Rhode Island. We had caught not only a blue lobster, but an albino one was well. Both were sent off to aquariums.
Beautiful creatures they are.

California woman caught this pix of me in P-Town. She's a nice lady, but she offered to buy my boat if I brought her back to shore. Deal is, I get a trip to Maine /New Hampshire /Vermont every year... I keep quiet about her gagging on chum and waves, AND I keep quiet in tourist places. (Fill in the blanks) |
