I just got comcast(8mb package) a few days ago..and the Tech person at Comcast said that Powerboost is scheduled for my area 1st half of 2007. I'm near O'Hare is this possible???
My download tests show the download rates somewhere between 5000-9000..much slower than the rest of you in the area.
are the comcast reps just stupid? |

We live in an area that gives it to us. BUT these are only powerboost speeds. They don't stay this high when we download or upload larger things.
Although I'm going to ask the question to those out there who got the powerboost on the upstream in Chicago, anyone get some packetloss every now and then since they did that? When playing Unreal Tournament 2004, every server is giving me packetloss spikes every 30 seconds or so. |

Is there anyone in the western burbs of Chicago that doesn't have powerboost? None of my speed test show any indication of the upload powerboost.

Download Speed: 10207 kbps (1275.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Does anyone have any ideas why my download speed is so low? Compared to others, in this thread, my download speed is less than half. Also my latency seems high!

Whoo..hoooo.now it just needs to stay 1.5MB/S permenantly...Ive noticed when Uploading I only get the boost for 12MB then it throttles down...but If I pause my file for a few seconds the powerboost kicks in for another 12MB..so I give my files back in bursts and they get it way faster now...way to go comcast |
