Same fucking speeds here in Schenectady.

Don't feel alone. I live two hours from where you are and I'm getting the same speeds you're getting. Yes, I'm also sick of it too.

Awesome, looks like three out of the five TW franchises in Upstate NY now have RR Premium at 15/1. The WNY and STNY franchises are the only ones left, both remain at 8/512Kb.

Rebooted modem...

all i want to know is if my area is going to actually get an upgrade in the near future. if i know that then i can base my anger on something rather on just waiting.

You know really, if they aren't going to up the upload on premium there's no reason to be paying for it anymore.

15/1 from 10/1 isn't a $10-$20 a month difference to me.

I have premium 'Turbo RR' and my speed increased after I rebooted the modem RCA 425. The mdm must have needed to load a new update for the faster speeds. I guess with 10's of thousands of modems on their network it will take a little time to update every mdm on their network. I wondered if RR could handle the competition and I guess I got my answer tonight/

I had been looking at Fios but will hold off if these speeds stay like this.

I agree.

No benefit on the upload, while I use to get a 33% boost in upload (compared to standard).

I'll either downgrade to standard, or move to FiOS when it becomes available.

I guess though to be honest, we should be reasonably happy... The old HFC networks had to be upgraded a lot to support this kind of bandwidth. Lots of node splitting.

Why is my upload still slower than advertised and slower than most of you guys in Schenectady? I was averaging around 4900 kb/s until I just rebooted my modem. I still have my original modem, a Toshiba PCX1000. Would that be the problem?
