said by jmurx :if only we could get RID of the crows, haha West Nile just about killed them off in SoCal, but they are making a comback. We don't see the big flocks anymore, however. We see one or two crows flying together. Besides, routing on cable is more like "as the hummingbird flies."

Whoa, just checked here in Queensbury NY speeds are now at 9942 Kbps / 983 Kbps up from the old 5000/384. Looks good to me. |

I asked my biz. sales rep and he told me business class was going to be the last set up upgrades (after all Res. are completed) He said we would see an increase at the same pricing, he wouldnt commit to what any speeds were going to be. I'm sure that New Hartford will be included. There is an article today in the Utica Observer Dispatch that talks about the Time Warner Utica cable hardware and infrastructure upgrade. Of course it also includes an April 1st rate increase so I do believe that the upgrades will be completed by then. Time Warner is really pushing their package deal in this area for TV-PHONE-HIGH SPEED INTERNET. That 4 down crap did not hold up in this area as far as the phone went. Many people I work with got rid of their phone due to low bandwidth and outage problems. It really makes sense to upgrade all cable download and bandwidth in this area. I don't really know for sure if it will be 10 down but for them to have a reliable phone network it would have to be close.
Time will tell. |
