Re: Finally ALBANY! - Now OT about crows

oh how i wish we only had 1 or 2 crows..
We used to see 40 or 50 hanging around Del Taco or whatever fast food place had a lot of garbage waiting. The crows had their regular routes, pretty much like commuters going one way in the morning and returning in the evening, just like clockwork. That's history in this area.

There is no such thing as cable that is "as the crow flies."

if only we could get RID of the crows, haha
West Nile just about killed them off in SoCal, but they are making a comback. We don't see the big flocks anymore, however. We see one or two crows flying together. Besides, routing on cable is more like "as the hummingbird flies."

i live in rome ny about 10 minutes from utica and my speeds for the standard service are 10Mbps down and 1Mbps up.

All of us in rome ny have had these speed since august of last year following the ny state fair at wich twcny anounced that all of upstate NY would recieve the upgrade.
Utica is soon to follow. 10 miles from Rome as the crow flies!
Now if you could only get the crow to pull the cable.

I am in scotia/glenville/schnectady... RR business class is really getting the shaft. You think they would update us first ..
I asked my biz. sales rep and he told me business class was going to be the last set up upgrades (after all Res. are completed) He said we would see an increase at the same pricing, he wouldnt commit to what any speeds were going to be.

I hope they include New Hartford when they upgrade Utica... I'm still at 4/384, about 10 miles not even from the Utica/New Hartford border.
I'm sure that New Hartford will be included. There is an article today in the Utica Observer Dispatch that talks about the Time Warner Utica cable hardware and infrastructure upgrade. Of course it also includes an April 1st rate increase so I do believe that the upgrades will be completed by then. Time Warner is really pushing their package deal in this area for TV-PHONE-HIGH SPEED INTERNET. That 4 down crap did not hold up in this area as far as the phone went. Many people I work with got rid of their phone due to low bandwidth and outage problems. It really makes sense to upgrade all cable download and bandwidth in this area. I don't really know for sure if it will be 10 down but for them to have a reliable phone network it would have to be close.
Time will tell.
