GTA3, GTA:VC, and GTA:SA were all on the same engine. GTA4 is on a new engine (the table-tennis one, I believe) and will be step forward technologically.

the fourth one will have to be pretty damn cool to even get me to look twice at it.

If you take a look at the engine they used to develop their ping pong game, that's the same engine they're using for this newest GTA.

With that being said, there is just 4 days, 22 hours, and 2 minutes before the first video and look at GTA4 is released! Video's are always more amazing to be seen when not a single picture of the game (including concept art's or renders or ANYTHING) has been seen before it .
Wonder how long before it reaches PC after Xbox 360 and PS3.

Mesa, AZ | On FX the other night they took an hour (i think..i didn't watch the whole thing) just to show the logo and the countdown. It was completely rediculous. It just sat there, counting down.

That looks like a movie poster.
I hope they do Chicago as it as a lot of cool roads in I want to see them put uppper and lower wacker drive in as well the drawbridges and they let you jump them. They can even put toll booths in. |

The reason it's called GTA4 is because it is following the Liberty City story. VC and SA were different stories and based on different times.
