| While I can agree that eve online is a very well made game, I think this on-station stuff is a waste of time and energy. They should be focusing on more in-space stuff. Like ship customization. So what? You can walk around on a space station and talk to people. It's more of a social thing, then something that actually has function or any real purpose to the rest of the game. |

Huh? The game is nowhere near being 'shutdown'. In fact, behind WoW, they are probally the second best in raking in the cash. The game is still going strong, and last time I checked their server had 36k users on at the same time. |

I was thinking the same thing at first.
Then I remembered the White Wolf merger.
The engine for walking around and such is being developed anyway from what I have been reading to enhance and create physical products in games.
Eve Online will be some sort of test bed so it will grow from there and become similar to E&B as far as the activities in the station.
Later this engine will be used for other games CCP(Crowd Control Productions) hopes to be creating down the road.
