 | Internet got cancelled Comcast turned my internet off once again due to "abuse" of their download limit that they claim doesn't exist. I am waiting for them to call me back so I can complain. Has anyone else had their internet disconnected once again? When I originally spoke with the rep a few months ago he told me not to download "that much", meaning what I had downloaded the previous month. Since then I have not downloaded "that much". He never specifically said what their cap limit was. Do you think there is any chance I can get my service reconnected? |

Comcast can deny service to anyone for any reason, and in this case, may deny it based on the abuse issue. If so, they will require a lease or rental agreement, which shows you no longer live at the address... -- SIPPhone/Gizmo # 17476200648 / PIMPNET Chatline / Ran by Asterisk & Slackware 10.1. |

What happens to you people that have Vontage when CATV turns off your interweb? Ma Bell is dead and yet the people bitch. |

 | reply to BLAH2222 damn dude how much do you download to get disconnected twice.i download all the time but never get warnings or cancels. |
|
 | reply to BLAH2222 Dude, that sucks, like the other poster said, why would you want comcast back if they disconnect you. It seems the limit is not a fixed amount and that is a real problem.
If you have any other choice i would start shopping araound. I have hit 400+gig a month at one point and never got a letter from any ISP before. |

What the heck where you downloading that exceeded their bandwidth limits? --

| LOL. And you get to define that? How come "abuse" on a cable system (mostly Comcast cable systems in fact) is not "abuse" almost anywhere else? You don't see FiOS or DSL customers complaining about this, but you do see a constant parade of cable customers with this particular malady. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |
