4 edits | reply to dragon I'm building a new system rather than upgrading my old one. I'm going to use the old one exclusively for file storage while the new one will do everything else.
Bought so far:
•Silverstone TJ09 mother of all cases *black with clear side panel option
•eVGA 680i SLI Motherboard
•5 WD SATA Raptor 36gig 10,000rpm drives *will RAID these
•eVGA GeForce 8800GTX graphics card
•2 Cold Cathode kits to illuminate water cooling setup
•Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard
•OCZ GameXStream 700watt SLI certified power supply
•18x Samsung Lightscribe DVD burner and another burner (I can't remember the brand, I think it's LiteON)
•various UV reactive SATA cables and several 120mm case fans for water cooler and harddrive cooling
Still needed to buy:
•Intel E6600 chip and memory
•SB X-Fi soundcard
•DangerDen water cooling system for graphics, cpu, memory and chipset cooling
•mouse
•LCD monitor
•uuber leet leather gaming chair
I should have this sytem done before April is up... Still waiting for the Intel price drop. -- "The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men." - Plato -

However, to be 'politically correct,' my new build is just a tad slower than hers but not by much.
