I shall wait until I get an all clear sign that install and uninstall is working and that 4.22 is no longer going to be supported. At that point, I can see reason to install it, but until it's running as it should, install and uninstall, I am not going to upgrade to an inferior program.
What I do think is inferior here.. is the installer. But if I had 4.22, I'd wait too...

Funny you mention the installer. Try uninstalling it then.

Glad the ol' version is still running and being updated as it always had. Guess Comodo still have some work; not that I'm rushing them, but so far, not good.

Is there any reason one must run out and download the newest version?
No ,except when they stop supporting it!

I've been running the new one on my W2K OS for a week now and it runs flawlessly, but haven't installed it on my W-XP and can't install it on my W-98[because of the installer from Comodo]...:)

I agree: BOClean 4.22 ain't broke, so I shouldn't try to fix it. However, I don't know for how long version 4.22 will be supported. That said, I think you can't go wrong if you download and install version 4.23 (provided this version is compatible with your operating system).

Is there any reason one must run out and download the newest version? Is there some reason why, aside from the different logo, why one cannot maintain the last version of BOC as it was before it became ComodoBOC? I kind of like what I see on my machine. If it ain't broke, why do I need to fix it?

That page lists only 2 OS's as being compatible?
Unfortunately it depends on which site, as to whether the other OS's are listed...

is the fact that it doesn't work on Win Me reported?
I don't know, Cudni. It doesn't work here, but maybe it works on other Win ME machines, I really don't know. For the time being, I use the 4.22 version.

Finally, I'm not sure if there's updates for 4.23 being put on the COMODO server - the NSClean site is NOT updating BOClean 4.23 at all ... just 4.22. So please bear with us, I've suddenly become overloaded myself.

Yep; when I tried to install 4.23 on my Win98SE box today it complained about SHELL32.DLL not being present, plus another error about an unidentified device not working...
