New System:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz 4MB level 2 cache

Scythe SCASM-1000 120mm Sleeve Andy Samurai Master CPU fan

ASUS P5N32-E 680i SLI motherboard built-in w/RAID5

2GB of OCZ PC8500 DDR2 RAM

A PNY XLR8 GeForce 8800GTS w/320MB

ASUS DRW-1814BL 18x DVD burner with LightScribe

For now I have two new Seagate 320GB (7200.10 series) drives in a RAID1 array

To keep the drives cool I added an ultra quiet (8.7db) Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 120mm low speed fan blowing across the upper drive cage

Antec P180B case

Antec TruePower Trio-650 power supply

Acer 22” wide screen 5ms LCD display

Windows Vista Ultimate

All in all a very fast and amazingly quiet system

Added:
A new Netgear GS608 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch for my network and a Netgear GA311 card for my old PC (now server).

Planned:
Phase II (in a couple of months) will add four Seagate 750GB (also 7200.10 series) drives in the second cage of my new system. I'll be configuring these as a single data volume using hardware RAID5.
