1 edit | reply to kasparov33 Re: [request] need email sent to my son who has cancer please!!
thanks for all the replies. it is week 17 and my son has done ok so far. some of the cancer behind his heart has shrank a lot and the other has shrank just a little. thats all we are looking for is for it to shrink and if its only a little then at least its not growing. i have quit my job as an hvac engineer to stay home with my son and am going to enclose the middle bay of my garage and go back into electronics. i did that years ago and now that i an staying home with my son that should do good. my wife works at charter and we cant afford to lose her group insurance because it has paid for almost everything and now its at 100% benefit level. if we didnt have that we would be in a bigger world of poo. i am going to repair game consoles because nobody in my town does that and there are a lot of people who have broken xboxs and playstations. i enjoy gaming and love electronics so hopefully it will work out for the best. my son said he would like to learn more about the electronics in game consoles and how they work so helping him with that will be wonderful. i will post again when time permits. hope you all have a great day. oh yeah if any of you play on xbox live my sons gamertag is silversurfer 747. we both use that to play, so if any of you play halo2, gears of war or other shooters give us a shout and maybe we can frag it out. later dudes. |

| reply to kasparov33 back again at the hospital. my son has started to vomit a lot again and also caught an infection. doctors said we should be here all week. i hope he feels better soon. its really a drag to see him cry because he cant get up in time to get to the bathroom and has accidents. i tell him not to worry but he still feels bad because of it. but no matter how many time i have to get up in the middle of the night to help him i wont stop. ever. yes its a task to get no sleep and still be civil but i always remember my son has it bad and the rest of us are lucky. and when all of this is over i can say that i did my part and i know that my son loves me and realizes that i care for him. i think the worst part is to not see my son being able to go outside and play with other kids or just have fun. but i tell him to keep up the fight and we will win and then he can play all he wants. anywho hope all of you have a great day. i will post more when i learn more. thanks. |

| reply to kasparov33 Hope your sons recovery is speedy and all goes well. Hope to hear more good updates. As a partner to a cancer survivor I applaud you for shaving your head. Great way to show your support to him and having been bald myself I can relate to it being cooler. -- Founding member, 2002-2003, 2005-2006 Director of Communications, 2004-2005 Secretary for the Crunchenstein Project |

| reply to kasparov33 As one who went through multiple surgerys for non cancerous tumors-----no one but you and your son know how brave and tough he is. State of mind plays a big part in recovery and from the sound of things you both have the right one. Hope he has a fast recovery and remission. |

1 edit | reply to kasparov33 So how many emails have you received so far? Are you anywhere near the 100,000 mark yet? Let your son know he is in my thoughts. I went through my dad having lung cancer when I was a child (he was only 36). Hopefully your son will have a better outcome than my dad. Cancer is very painful physically and mentally (for both the family and the person with it). I really do hope your son soars above all of this and proves that we all can be stronger than a life threatening disease. Best wishes for you and your family! Your son will be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on how he is doing! |

1 edit | reply to kasparov33 thanks so much to you all. he got your email because the hospital saved it and gave it to him when he went back for his chemo. the emails from all over made him feel better too. he realized that there are a lot of other people that care about him too. there were even a few people that had cancer that sent some emails and they let him know that you can beat the evil monster. it just takes a lot of time and a whole lot of effort and prayer. your emails have also helped me and my wife. in the last 2 months our life and schedules have been turned upside down. neither one of us can sleep but we do the best we can. thinking of our son keeps us going though. hope you all have a super day. im going to play some gears of war and halo2 while my son sleeps. not to good at either but hey its fun none the less. a lot of times the people i play with are in their teens or twenties it seems like and im 37. theycall me geezer cause they say im old. but i just say tell them that they need someone with experience to help them along. gets them going every time. so if there is anybody here at bbr that has an xbox 360 and plays halo2, gears of war, dead or alive 4 and other games let me know and we can play some and my son is awesome at halo2. my gamer tag is silversurfer 747. later all |
