I hear Covad will start selling the ADSL2+ product directly starting the end of this week.
Can anyone shed any light on the matter? pricing? availability? speeds? |

| Which list? My CO has the Samsung ACEMAP EQ installed and 8/1 LPV from Earthlink is available so I expect 15000/1000 will be available. My loop length in the building is UNDER 2000 feet which qualifies for ALL TOP ADSL2+ speeds.
3 Providers available with high speeds here:
Covad 15000/1000 ADSL2+ POTS (should be available) RCN 20000/2000 FTTB/Docsis Coaxial Time Warner Cable 12000/768 FTTC/Docsis Coaxial
Wonder what the future will hold. Seems like Time Warner Cable upgraded its plant. Covad is finally pushing serious speed down ADSL2+. RCN offered higher speeds awhile back but has not offered anything new and supposedly nodes could be oversold. |

| I tried Earthlink LPV service and dropped it, because of lack of any support. Being about 8000 +/- 300 feet from CO, I was getting steady 1Mbps upload, but 8Mbps download did not hold. Question is, will I be able to keep 1Mbps upload with possibly lowered download speeds - like 6/1 or even 5/1? Or it is just tier based? Like 8/1, 6/768, 3/512 or so? |

As metioned in a post of of this thread; resellers will offer a cheaper price to residential costumers. -- Statements made by me are not the views or practices of my employer and they cannot be held responsible for any statements I may make. |

| Which resellers will sell Residential 15/1 service to NYC Co which is served by Samsung ACEMAP ADSL2+ equipment so the CO is ready for the product. Looplength for me is under 2k feet. Just need to know which resellers will sell Residential and what those residential prices are.
Thanks. |

Cyberonic will be selling this service but has not publicly announced prices yet - if you call them they may be able to help..... |

@rcn.com | With incumbent FTTB to coaxial provider, speed tier is 20000/2000 for $55 a month. Covad Business class from Cyberonic is $119 a month. Seems like ADSL2+ is not a cost effective product. |
