| [Poll] Anti-Trojan Poll 2007
|
|
 Jrb2Premium join:2001-08-31 kudos:3 | Nice poll KiwiAussie, thanks !
I voted for BOClean, TrojanHunter, The Cleaner, Tauscan.
I use BOClean resident, and TrojanHunter and The Cleaner on-demand (XP-home).
And on my old Win98SE machine I also have Tauscan (on-demand), although I hardly use Tauscan. PS: Agnitum will end Tauscan on 1-January-2008. |

Also been a long time user of BOClean, but I must admit I am starting to have doubts on it's total effectiveness. Also find Prevx1 to be a useful, added tool. -- I'm an Einstoner and crunch for BBR Team Starfire Einstein @ Home! Join Us! VoicePulse 07/29/04 |

dadkinsCan you do Blu?Premium,MVM join:2003-09-26 Hercules, CA kudos:18 | reply to Hutch I don't rely on anything. I have KIS on this machine and avast on others. They are both turned all the way up. I see the occasional warning from my AV that something was killed during a download. YAY for web scanning!
I scan regularly with a *few* various scanners(entertainment purposes mainly).

| reply to Hutch I use the following:
1) Returnil Virtual System to keep anything from making changes to my System Partition
2) NOD32 Resident scanner (incoming files and e-mail) and nightly full system scans when the computer is idle
3) Sysinternals/MS Process Monitor to watch for suspicious process activity |
|
 | reply to Hutch I voted BOClean, a-squared, and other... other = Avira which is one of if not THE strongest AV that also handles worms and trojans and polymorphic viruses |

I voted BOClean. I also voted for my AV (NAV 2006) which is set on maximum paranoia mode.
My setup works for me. Anything more is overkill.
