My sister's (bkforbes) agent shows that she has 4896 points. HOWEVER, her account at the WCG website shows no points and doesn't even show that she has any devices.
What did she do wrong during installation, and how can we get it fixed now?

Her name on the agent shows up as "bkforbes", the way it should.
I don't know the OS - I assumed XP but I'll ask.
Edit: she did say that when she started it up it acted like it already knew everything.
You know... I wonder if she didn't uninstall the old UD, and that's what she's running. I wouldn't put it past her...
Nope, that's not it.
Her agent reports more points today than it did yesterday, so it's receiving confirmations from someplace. When she clicks on "view your scores" or "view your device list" in the agent, it takes her to the WCG website I pasted the image of above - showing no devices.
Weird...
And she's using Win XP. |

Not all of my UD un-installs were spectacularly clean.
Sometimes you just have to consider blowing away the software install and starting over from scratch.
The results went somewhere, so they won't be lost.

I had her do that earlier this evening. I still doesn't show any devices, but I'm wondering if it has to upload something first. I'm gonna have her check it again tomorrow.

Have been researching this on the WCG Forum for some time and cannot find anything that duplicates the problem.
Only possibility that makes any sense is that the result/s were submitted but have not yet been verified by the minimum number of individuals required to receive validation credit. BOINC does not display any information on WCG-UD returns until they have been verified (usually by 15 different completed WU reports). |

bkforbes is running UD...where points are calculated and awarded each time a work unit is completed and a result is successfully returned to World Community Grid Servers.

My bet is she didn't check the Already existing member thing and something screwy happened. No reason to reinstall, just delete the CS.UD file and let her re-register the device under the existing user (that she can log into).

Well, un/reinstalling didn't work. But uninstalling, manually deleting the installation folders, and reinstalling DID work.
