The only impact i'm worried about when it comes to Uverse is that a car might swerve and hit one of those monstrosities hanging off of telephone poles at street level.
It's sure to kill someone.
And, while I realize that the latest craze here at BBR is for AT&T employees to gang up on rick at the very sight of one of my Anti Uverse posts, the fact of the matter is all your posts in the world won't change the fact of what Uverse is so far apparently, which is a total flop.
The latest #'s were what, 25,000 people have taken the service out of 3 million homes passed or something like that? A well connected girl scout could sell more cookies than that.
How much worse can it get?
The fact of the matter is, consumers appear to be voting with their wallets..and feel as I do.
Which is they don't want this crap in our neighborhoods.
And, is it any wonder?...do you mistake consumers for total fools? Who's going to want tv service delivered over this old tired copper? What we're talking about here is a network that could barely get some people DSL service. Now you expect people to want HSI..HDTV and voice coming over it. LOL!
Again, in many communities today, people can get service like OOL..Comcast and Cox..which are now delivering upwards of 15Mb to 20Mb HSI service. That comprises almost ALL the bandwidth that uverse even offers.
What kind of an idiot would drop cable service in favor of uverse? Again, apparently not very many judging by the dismal numbers being reported.
What is really sad is the way that AT&T seems so out of touch with the reality of the whole situation..and continues on with this failure of a service...now polluting so many cities and towns with these monstrosities hanging off telephone polls.
Let's hope that they somehow come to their senses, and soon. Before it's too late.
It's time to drop Uverse AT&T...and get on with FTTH.
Or really, it just might wind up being too late for you. -- The Coyote captured the RR! Roadrunner Rick is now Comcastic! |

| i agree that u-verse is a still-born baby (was addicted to crack in the womb and the mother drank a 6 pack every night).
i'm convinced that AT&T is going after tax payer support for their fiber rollout. give them 5-10 years and they will be on the verge of death without begging for money. |

We're not after you for your anti-uverse posts. It's the reasons you give that make your posts laughable. "This box is the wrong color! My eyes hurt!"
