The only ones I use are NoScript and AdBlockPlus.
I did at one point have UnPlug to grab Flash video off sites
like Youtube, Veoh and so on, but I've since removed it,
deciding it wasn't really needed any more.

Have you considered Tab Mix Plus? it gets lots of control over how tabs/windows open and lots of options for controling which tabs to close (all, left, right, other).

First of all I'd like to suggest an idea for this sticky. I've seen at other forums where a list like this, not necessarily for Firefox, is maintained in a nice organized manner. The original post is modified to include a layout such as the following:
Where the required votes could potentially increase as more people post and the votes start piling up. A person would vote by just stating there lists like we do already, while the original post gets updated.
Anyways, just a suggestion. Now onto my addons :).
- Adblock Plus: Required for a nice complete ad-blocking solution
- All-in-One Sidebar: Allows for an Opera like sidebar which can provide instant access to many useful features such as addons, history, bookmarks, etc.
- DSLR Notifier: I don't think this addon needs any explaination ;).
- MinimizeToTray: Helps keep the toolbar uncluttered by removing Firefox from the toolbar when minimized.
- NoScript: Disables unnecessary/annoying scripts and provides extra security.
- OpenDownload: Allows you to open downloads like with Internet Explorer without the need to save the file first.
- Organize Status Bar: Self-explanatory :).
- SwitchProxy Tool: Allows for easy proxy switching without the hassle of manually changing the proxy all the time.
- Tab Mix Plus: Essential for convenient tabbed browsing. |
