iPhone and MBP?

Will the iPhone allow me to connect my MBP to the internet?

How do you know? I don't think it's been announced whether or not the iPhone has a DUN Bluetooth profile.

I think it is unlikely that the iPhone will have a wireless modem app, although to be fair, we haven't yet seen the entire feature set. But this is probably *not* the type of thing a third-party could write using Safari unless it has some serious hooks into the rest of the iPhone.

No, At&t is against tethering so I'm assuming they might remove the bluetooth profile

They might not like it, but they don't cripple their phones like Verizon.

True, but once they start seeing heavy bandwidth usage they'll quickly remove it from your plan, this has been confirmed by many posters on howardforums

I think that was my point...NOBODY knows since the &#@%ing thing hasn't even been released yet. I think we can save a lot of time if everyone that had a question about what it can or can't do would go to »www.apple.com/iphone to answer all of their unanswered questions. Sheesh!

Does it cook breakfast? | Can it make me lose weight? | Can it kill bad guys? | Can I access my neighbor's computer if it's turned off? | Can it bring down spy sats?
