like all our other wars on... they seem to just all fail might well have a war on education or something that we really want to succeed

There already is a war on education, look at the graduation rates.

Edit: Well there is money going somewhere now. My services total $80, but my actual telco bill is $116, so go figure if anyone is eating my pie. Now they want more.

Yes, when I look at my cell phone rates, it always annoys me that the USF is getting 11.7% tacked on to my bill (this qtr -it chgs qtrly). That is a ridiculous tax rate. And most of that money is wasted and does nothing but pay off local pols pushing their special projects.
