| My brand new rig (last upgrade was 4 years ago). Started building in April and I considered it officially finished this week after all my OC'ing was done.
Rig: Case: Stacker 830 eVO PSU: OCZ Gamer XStream 700W Mobo: EVGA 680i NF68-A1-D00 P26 CPU: Conroe E6600 Dual Core 2.4ghz RAM: 2x1GB CellShock DDR1000 4-4-4-12-2T @ 2.2V GPU: EVGA 8800GTX DVD-RW: 2x Nec AD-7170S Audio: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro HDD: 3x Seagate Barracuda 320GB 16MB SATA II | Display: Dual Samsung 22'' 226BW [S Panels] OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
Cooling Setup - Swiftech MCR320 Triple Radiator (4x120mm, controlled via Kama Meter) - Swiftech MCP655 Pump - Masterkleer 7/16'' Tubing
Water blocks CPU: D-Tek Fuzion Block GPU: EK 8800GTX Full coverage Acetal North Bridge: EK EVGA 680i NB Block Acetal South Bridge: EK NF block rev1.2 Acetal
Overclock CPU: 3.6GHZ (450mhzx8)@ 1.5475vcore - Temps Load/Idle: 58C/41C GPU: 629/1000 on 158.18 / 675/1100 on 160.15 - Temps Load/Idle: 43C/37C
Did not bother with benchmarks because I think it's for losers All I care about are real world performance increase. I did run SuperPi to please my friend and scored 13s on the 1M test... that's it.
It was the first time ever I built my own rig, let alone install a water loop. I went through 2x Asus boards (P5B Dlx, P5N32E Plus) and then settled on the 680i. EVGA customer service is 5 stars.
All I can say is that I learned a lot building it, it was a lot of fun, and it's a really satisfying rig as well! I can certainly enjoy gaming better (can't wait for DX10 games like Crysis) and the dual 22'' is absolute sweetness when designing my websites ! |

Misc cable sleeving and water-cooling plumbing.
The DVD drive is 'stealthed' using a modified bay cover, push the lower RH corner and it will open. Nice, clean smooth look.

All nice HW but I don't care shit about how it looks in the case so its real messy. It's a good thing I get most HW for free - would never have bought the CPU otherwise. |
