With DSL you start sharing at the Central Office/Exchange [CO] (where your connection is commingled with all those who use your CO to get out to the Internet). With Cable, you start to share somewhere between you and the head-end (the Cable equivalent of the CO). |

join:2005-09-28 00000 | No actually you do. You are not on the same piece of copper between you and your nearest dslam but once you hit that DSLAM you are sharing. That circuit from the DSLAM to the ATM Switch can be saturated just like cable can become saturated. |
