ooih, thanks Bicephale!

Lol... well, it's not as fun since I have to get to the basement, connect the computer directly to the modem, open the flash utility, transfer the firmware, wait for the modem to reboot, if everything is good, reconnect the modem to the router as well for the computer...

But yeah, it's fun :P

Hi again Quake110,

My SpeedTouch 546 v6 is working as a MoDem/Router,
there's a pair of switches in between but they did
not cause any problem so far.  I stopped using the
Thomson utility, i just turn off the FireWall, set
my IP address as fixed to 10.0.0.1 and run TFTPD32
then i walk into the room where my ST is installed
and i press its power button twice in a quick move
to cut power for a split second only (off->on) and
once it goes solid green again i repeat my gesture
to enter BootP mode (my LEDs alternate between red
and green)...  Transfer begins when the ST5x6 sees
the TFTP server, at that stage i can just wait for
completion so i return to my chair if i prefer to.
